Register Now

This course takes place at Hale Maluhia, Huna International's center on the mystical, magical Hawaii Island aka Big Island, surrounded by giant palm trees and flowering orchids. This is also the home of Serge and Gloria King, our teachers and leaders, and although they won't be participating in the classes (except maybe for graduation) we will feel their spirit all the time!

The Adventurer shaman works with the forces of Nature and the powers of the mind for the healing personal, social, and environmental conditions. The focus of this course is on learning the esoteric system of Huna and practicing shamanic healing skills. Your instructors will be Susan Pa'iniu Floyd kumu (head teacher) of Huna International's huna courses, massage courses and hula troupe and Graeme Kapono Urlich, our Media Director, lead tech guy and huna and lomilomi teacher.

Susan and Graeme

  • In Session One you will learn the concepts that are fundamental to the practice of Adventure shamanism, how to work with your four selves, and learn how to do Dynamind, one of the most powerful healing techniques in the world.
  • In Session Two you will learn how to communicate with the spirits of Nature, heal with crystals, work with energy, cast shaman stones, and do distant healing.
  • In Session Three you will learn the techniques of dream awareness, dream healing, and how to create healing dreams for others.
  • In Session Four you will learn how to grok (merge deeply) with the Goddesses and power animals for information and healing.
  • In Session Five you will learn and practice shamanic ceremony and ritual and, with your fellow students, you will create a ritual to help with the healing of the world.

In addition to the shamanic healing work you will learn Hawaiian chanting, sacred hula, and other exercises for your personal development. Also, you will have the opportunity to participate in optional activities such as sunrise at Kilauea crater. The course will finish with a graduation celebration.
