DARE
by Mai-Britt Rosendal
Take off your clothes,
The time has come for me to know you undisguised,
Bathed in slow orange light,
Of focus, closeness, and of trust.
Cast off that ancient cloak,
That icy veil of,
Well documented doubt.
You know to risk it is to feel,
And you walk clothed in mind,
A brilliant mind, I should say,
But underneath, I'm sure a brilliant sense of Life,
Phosphorescent soft and yet precise,
Sharpened by an urge for freedom, playfulness and live reflection,
So come on cease the moment, touch the now,
There may be dangers, true
Or fears, a roaming pack,
But let them rest now,
Feel your nerve ends sing,
In never to be doubted hunger,
You need to dance beneath the trees to be alive,
You need to dare,
Stand naked.
