CREATIVE CORNER May 2005
updated on the first of January, March, May, July, September and November
MY KAUAI
by Barbara
(on remembering the trek from the Kalalau lookout with Susan at the
Makahiki Conference 2003, written on August 23, 2004)
I am more focused now
No longer searching
I have found my home
My exuberance
shows this
The confidence
that bursts from my movements
reveals the knowing
that I belong here
And, everywhere I go,
my home is in me
in every leaf on every tree
in the grass that grows wildly
across the low lands
in the cracks between the rocks
where water trickles
in the wingspan
of great white birds
whose tails hang
like ribbons in the wind
in the breaking waves
that rush to the white
sparkling shore
in the sunlight that
caresses my heart
with song from the heavens
and remembrances of the night
You, Kauai, are my home
Whispers Of Aloha
by Lois Stokes
A simple loop of rainbow string
Spreads aloha around the world
Hands moving in harmony
Weaving patterns of peace
Sculpting whispers of aloha
The world needs healing
Change the pattern
Change the rhythm of the thought
Creating new forms of reality
Sculpting whispers of aloha
The power to make change
Lie within movements of the hand
Within movement of thought patterns
Staying in the present moment
Sculpting whispers of aloha
